Service Technician

REPORTS TO: Service Manager
JOB TYPE: Hourly

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under general supervision from the Service Manager, this position is responsible for performing a variety of general and complex industrial maintenance repair and installation, including, but not limited to electrical, controller, feed delivery, water, and ventilation systems for hog and livestock confinements. To be successful in this position, accuracy and maintaining excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking, and problem solving is a must. This position requires advanced mechanical knowledge, teamwork, self- motivation, and a strong work ethic.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Install, repair, and maintain high and low voltage electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Install, repair, and maintain ventilation systems in swine, cattle, and dairy facilities to maintain the respiratory health of the animals
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and investigate origins
Repair and/or replace defective equipment and/or parts
Perform preventative measures of safeguarding the machinery against any kind of degradation
Inspect, operate, and record implementation of manufacturing methods, fabrications, and operations recording cost
Read and interpret documents containing safety rules, operating industrial instructions and drawings and procedural manuals
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
Log detailed mechanical reports and communications with other service technicians and personnel to prevent and resolve systems malfunctions
Utilize mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, linear analysis, calculus, geometry, and trigonometry
Management of material for service jobs
Maintain a safe working environment
Work as a team player to accomplish company goals and projects timely
Overtime may be required to accomplish project completion
On Call weekend rotation
All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree or Higher Mechanical Education or equivalent of work experience preferred
Must have excellent attention to detail, time management, organizational, and communication skills
Must be able to multi-task with the ability to change direction quickly
Strong understanding of mechanics
Ability to represent the company in external relations
A high degree of energy outgoing, hardworking, self-motivated, and possess strong interpersonal skills

Project Drafter / Estimator

REPORTS TO: Project Drafter / Estimator
JOB TYPE: Salary

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

As Project Dafter & Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD or other software needed to convert estimators and salesman’s notes into technical drawings. In addition, you will be responsible for analyzing plans, bill of quantities, and other project documentation to estimate costs. As needed you will be responsible for researching, sourcing, negotiating, and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. To be successful in this position, attention to details with the ability to multi-task and manage deadlines are a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Managing daily AutoCAD drafting needs, scheduling workload
Preparing sales drawings and proposals
Managing construction schedules, working with purchasing for on-site deliveries
Prepare detailed and accurate building material lists using estimating software
Obtain quotes for materials and labor from vendors and subcontractors
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors
Review and evaluate requests for estimates
Reviews final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to formal quotation
Continually educate and improve estimating and design processes
Conduct jobsite visits with sales/estimating team to view end product
Provide feedback on continuous improvement of products, software, estimating/design methods, and materials
Work with drafting to create detailed sales drawings, and final project drawings
Create detailed job books upon sale of project
Work closely with purchasing to ensure all materials are ordered accurately
Work closely with accounting on job costing upon project completion
Utilize AutoCAD as needed to help design or modify drawings to suite estimating needs
Develop and maintain relationships with co-workers, customers, vendors, and subcontractors, providing excellent customer service
Ability to handle issues with resolution
Continually gain knowledge on product features, benefits, and options to use effectively in the estimating process
Participate in training sessions, meetings, skill building, and professional development classes
Represent company at trade association meetings, and shows to promote products and the company
Ability to work additional hours to ensure deadlines are met; During construction season, March – December, additional hours will be expected

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates or Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Previous drafting and estimating experience is preferred
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication, and time management skills with high
attention to detail; multi-tasking and the ability to change direction quickly is a must
Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to represent the company in external relations
A high degree of energy, outgoing, hardworking, self-motivation
Proficiency with computer operation, including use of AutoCAD, Outlook, Teams, Microsoft Office products

Job Site Supervisor

REPORTS TO: Construction Manager
JOB TYPE: Salary

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

Integrity Builders & Supply Inc. is seeking a talented and dedicated Ag Construction Site Manager to focus on overseeing all construction processes. Under general supervision from the Construction Manager, this position is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and management of Agricultural construction sites. To be successful in this position, strong leadership, strategic planning, communication skills and a high driver of work ethic are a must. This position supports Iowa and its surrounding states.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Act as a representative of Integrity Builders while on jobsite
Managing and implementing all aspects of the construction
Preparing schedules, assigning work to all construction personnel at the site and communicating with the
Construction Manager as necessary to reduce any risk associated with the job
Responsible for monitoring costs and budgets, meeting objectives
Determine site material needs; Tracks inventory of materials and equipment
High level of reading drawings, plans, and blueprints
Meeting project completion objectives
Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines
Conduct quality and safety inspections; Promoting job site safety, encourages safe work practices and
rectifies job site hazards immediately enforcing the company’s site safety policies
Managing & directing the work of onsite sub-contractors
Plan, direct, or coordinate concrete, construction, installation & electrical crews.
Provide exceptional customer service and form strong customer relationships
Handle incoming calls and making same day follow up calls
Complete daily logs, site reports, and weekly reports
Working with owners, estimators & salesman of the project
Managing maintenance on all company owned equipment on site
Respond to customer issues identifying possible resolutions and root cause analysis
Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes
All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates or Bachelor’s degree is required; Preferably in Ag Construction Management or construction
related field
3-5 years previous knowledge in building & construction industry
Must have prior experience in managing projects to a successful completion
Knowledge of operating construction equipment; unloading of equipment
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills with high attention to detail;
Multitasking and the ability to change direct quickly is a must
Strong problem solving and critical thinking
Ability to represent the company in external relations
A high degree of energy, outgoing, hardworking, self-motivated, and possess a strong interpersonal skill
Willingness and ability to travel overnight
Must possess a valid driver’s license, post-offer background check and drug screen
Proficiency with computer operation, including use of AutoCAD, Outlook, Teams, Microsoft Office
products
